Riverview Retreat Community
I am a high school special education teacher. My main interests though are social justice, caring for the earth, vegetarianism and animal rights. I believe in equal rights for all living things. I live with my life partner Laura Shook and our four legged friends Chelsea and Jordan. I have been a member of the Riverview Retreat Community for approximately 15 years. I began at the Retreat taking Pychosynthesis workshops and cooking for the same group. My fondest memories back then are of Richard Racettes’ dog, King, sitting with various members of the group who were struggling with their past. He was a great care giver and he is missed. Throughout the years I have experiences at the Retreat that have made me a better person with each passing moment. We all know the world can be a very difficult place. No matter where you go you can find terrible wrongs but also the good. The Retreat has always been a place where I can ground myself and come back to my path. I think without Richard and the Retreat life would have been more of a struggle than it is. The Retreat also has an incredible staff that welcomes you with open arms. Starting soon Laura and I will be starting classes at the Retreat on healthy foods and healthy cooking. Join us and lose weight with us and learn to have a healthier life. Also, we will be starting classes on sustainable living and simplifying your life that come from the Northwest Earth Institute and the Great Plains Earth Institute. Try not to miss coming to the Retreat. Everyone is always welcome. What could be better than working in the community garden, pulling a fresh tomato off the vine and biting into it. My love to you all. Keith
